Rayshard Brooks's incident took place on June 12, 2020. As the protesters were demanding justice to George Floyd, and Breonna Taylor's cases, this incident added more heat.

The 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks was from Atlanta, Georgia, and was an American citizen and worked at a restaurant for living.
He was going through a financial crisis, and he also had some mental issues, ever since he lost his job at the hotel.
He also was a married man living with his wife and three children; two daughters and a stepson.
It was around 10:30 pm, the midnight of June 12, 2020, when a man complained about a man (Rayshard Brooks) being asleep in the car, blocking the road lane to the south-side of Atlanta, Georgia.
The officers came to the spot, by Brook's car, immediately awoke him, and tested his alcohol consumption limit. Brooks' alcohol consumption was above the legal limit to drive.
The officers took out a handcuff and were about to take him under custody, but he resisted arrest and stole a taser gun from an officer while they were wrestling on the ground.
From the footage, we can see that Brooks shot the taser at one of the officers, who later fired at Brooks three rounds, hitting twice in the back, which eventually killed him.
The incident footage was publicly broadcasted and shared on the internet. Chief Police of Atlanta, Erika Shields, resigned the next day, stating she wanted to help restore trust in the city.
Two officers, Garrett Rolfe and Devin Brosnan, were involved in Rayshard Brooks shooting.
The firing officer, Garrett Rolfe, had been working for the Atlanta Police since 2013, whereas, another responding officer, Devin Brosnan, had joined the Atlanta police in 2018.
Atlanta Police Department requested the GBI to investigate the case, and after an autopsy, the medical investigator told his death was a homicide. The two officers were dismissed from duty immediately.
The next day, on June 13, Atlanta's police chief Erika Shields resigned from her post. Later, with further investigation, Rolfe was fired permanently, with Brosnan placed on administrative work.
Likewise, Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard Jr. announced eleven charges against Rolfe, including felony murder, five times of aggravated assault, four police law violations, and destruction to the capital on June 17.
Howard also cited the officers of not giving the required modern medical facility to Brooks after he was shot as the video show Rolfe kicking him, and Brosnan staying over his shoulder.
After the tragic Rayshard Brooks incident, demonstrators gathered on the site on June 12 and 13.
On June 13, protesters set fire to Wendy's restaurant because Brooks was shot outside the Wendy's, and also burned a few vehicles nearby. Likewise, they also broke some reporter's cameras.
On June 18, Atlanta police officers launched a "blue flu" presentation and called in ill, reportedly only one went to work that day.
After the incident, Mayor Keisha Lance ordered the Atlanta Police Department to modernize its use-of-force procedures on June 15.
