Later, in 2005, he made his return, playing all 16 games, with 12 starts at right tackle. With his decrease performance by some games over injuries, he lost his starting to Marcus Johnson for while, but, in late November returned to start the final two games of the season.
After his career as a football player, he also started operating as coach at Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin, Texas in 2010. Then in December 2011, he became the Head coach and in 2012, got converted into head athletic director.
