    Micheal B. Jordan is a popular American actor who is known for his notable performance in various movies such as, 'Hardball', 'Creed', and 'Fruitvale Station'. He is also praised worldwide for various of his TV series where he starred, such as, 'The Wire', 'Parenthood', and 'Friday Night Lights'. During his childhood, he had appeared in different commercials for some well-known firms and had no idea about becoming an actor. He debuted at the age of 12 by appearing in the movie 'Black and White', and also in some single episodes of TV serials such as 'Cosby', and 'The Sopranos'.

    Micheal B. Jordan was born on the 9th of February in 1987, in the city of Santa Ana, California. His father's name is Micheal A. Jordan, who worked as a caterer while his mother, Donna Davis Jordan, worked as a career counselor in a high school and was also known as an artist. He has two siblings named Jamila and Khalid.

    The first two years of Micheal was spent in Santa Ana and then his family relocated to Newark in New Jersey. His mother was employed at the Newark Arts High School, where Jordan was admitted to study. He shone in sports, most importantly, in basketball. 

    In one of the interviews, Jordan disclosed that growing up in Newark was very struggling. He even revealed that he had friends who were interested in carjacking and also peddling drugs. The support from his parents helped him to stay on the right path. 

    At the age of 10, Jordan appeared in some commercials for print media and after that he was offered several offers to feature in advertisements of various renowned companies. He was even featured in commercials of Toys 'R' Us and Modell's Sporting Goods. 



    Micheal landed a small role in a 1999 crime drama movie, 'Black and White', where he appeared for a brief moment. This was his official debut. He even debuted on the small screen when he appeared in single episodes of TV series such as, 'The Sopranos', and 'Cosby'.

    Micheal succeed to portray 'Jamal' in the 2001 comedy-drama sports movie, "Hardball". In 2002, he impressed the world with his brilliant portrayal of Wallace in the HBO series, 'The Wire'.

    Even though he had just started 13 episodes of this series in its debut season, his extraordinary performance assured that he would be receiving work on a constant basis. Jordan starred as Reggie Porter Montgomery in 59 episodes of NBC's "All My Children", from the year 2003 till 2006. He even picked up various awards for his acting skills.

    From the year 2006 till 2009, Jordan featured in one of the famous TV series, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation". He even appeared in series such as, 'Without a Trace', 'Cold Case', 'Bones' and 'Burn Notice'. He even landed the idol role in the indie movie 'Blackout'.

    He also played his part in 13 episodes of 'The Assistants'. 

    The year 2009 turned out to be another breakthrough year for Jordan. He was chosen to portray the character of Vince Howard, who was a gridiron player, in the Emmy Award winning NBC series, "Friday Night Lights".

    He displayed Vince's character for two seasons from 2009-2011. He appeared for 26 episodes in total. 

    The way Micheal displayed the character of Vince, paved way for various TV and movie offers in the entertainment industry. In 2010, Jason Katims, who was the producer of Friday Night Lights, picked Jordan to play the role of Alex in 'Parenthood'.

    In 2012, Jordan was cast in the movie 'Red Tails' and also he was the lead in the SciFi thriller, 'Chronicle'.
