Farrokh Bulsara better known to all music lovers as Freddie Mercury is a deceased British singer, composer, vocalist, and producer, best recognized as the iconic Queen's frontman worshipped for his extravagant stage persona, and four-octave vocal scale.

Freddie Mercury was born on the 5th of September, 1946, in Show Town, the British protectorate of Zanzibar, now part of Tanzania. His parents; Bomi Bulsara and Jer Bulsara were Parsi-Indian. Likewise, he also has a sibling sister Kashmira Bulsara.
Growing up, he attended St. Peter’s English Boarding School in Panchgani, fifty miles outside Bombay, after moving from his hometown.
It was back in Panchgani school, his friends started calling him Freddie, which eventually became his name adopted by his parents as well.
But after completion of his secondary school, he returned to his home town of Zanzibar but, In 1964, they moved to Middlesex, England after Zanzibar Revolution.
He was interested in singing and writing songs from an early age, which eventually led him to form a band named Queen in 1970 alongside guitarist Brian May, and drummer Roger Taylor.
With Queen, Freddie wrote several hits such as; Somebody to Love, Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are the Champions, Don't Stop Me Now, and Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

Mercury was open about being Bisexual but before revealing he was gay, Mercury met May Austin in 1969 when she was a 19-year-old music store worker, whereas Freddie was a 24-year-old who was a rising superstar.
They soon started dating, and Mercury also wrote a song; “Love of My Life" dedicated to Austin.
Mercury proposed her in 1973, and revealed that he was bisexual. The pair was about to get married but their wedding was called off. Though they stopped dating, they remained close friends to eachother for a long time.
